Capitalism and Communism
November 23rd, 2008Each and every movement in this universe is systaltic. Nothing ever moves in a straight line. When the period of pause is long, society goes through a phase of extended staticity, and it may lose all its dynamic movement or even cease to exist.
The downfall of both capitalism and communism is inevitable due to their inherent staticity. Both capitalism and communism are on the verge of extinction from this world.
The contradictions in capitalism are due to the self-centred profit motivated psychology and the accumulation of wealth for the benefit of a few rather than for the welfare of all. Hence, capitalism is not congenial to the integrated growth of human progress. A day is therefore sure to come when capitalism will burst like a fire-cracker.

yes, we are moving towards a new civilization now… the most obvious one the post carbon civilization where the switch from fossil fuels to alternative energies won’t necessarily come in a timely fashion. Everything we ever thought would happen will be different – Imagine, master units will have to be run without transportation for a while, and that future land land purchases need urgently be located near small towns, so we can share and feed the hungry or sell produce. Farmers will be the heroes of the day and they so deserve this as they have been taken for granted for too long. Most of us have been sleepwalking into that or still deny the severity of the condition. If we do it right, everybody will always have enough work.

Capitalism cannot work in a post-carbon society as economic “growth” as we know it will cease to exist – at least for a while – till we get true alternatives to work in a large scale. In any case, buying mindless stuff and trashing the planet must be over as well as too many species will die of our “left over” oven a thousand years from now.
I prefer the riches of the heart anyway. That seems to be what is meant by the term “abundance.”
