by your sadhana (spiritual practice), service and sacrifice.

Travelling Together

Society is like a company of pedestrians going on a pilgrimage. Suppose one among them is attacked by cholera, do the rest go on their way, leaving him behind? No, they cannot. Rather, they break their journey for a day or two, relieve him from the disease and help him to acquire strength in his legs. Or, they start out anew, carrying him on their shoulders.

If anyone runs short of his subsistence, others give him their own. Together, they share everything with all. Together, they stream ahead, singing their leading chorus. In their eagerness to go ahead with others, they forget their trifling differences.

The essence of cooperation, born of moving together, aims at widening or expanding the mental being of a person by striking down barriers of meanness again and again. And hence, I reiterate that society is like such a batch of pilgrims, gathering a strange power of mind in travelling together and, with its help, solving all the problems of their individual and social lives.

Ascribing Godhood

In this universe, there are so many people who do not get any respect from others – the downtrodden, half-fed, half-naked humanity. You are to pay respect to those downtrodden people. You are to elevate their standard, their socio-economico-cultural standard.

If you do not pay respect to them, how can you serve them? You are serving the downtrodden people by ascribing Godhood to them.

Good works

Whenever considering doing good works, do not hesitate – do them immediately. Whenever contemplating doing bad works, linger and delay, so that the thought of performing them will wither away from the mind.

O Human Beings!

As long as you exist, you have to perform service. The moment you stop, either due to incapacity or wrong choice, you will fall into an abyss. You should not let this happen. It is your nature to move from narrowness to vastness, from greatness to divinity. To allow yourself to fall into an abyss is against the characteristic of your existence.

You long for eternal bliss and endeavour for eternal life. You are fused with that unending vitality in the blood circulation of your arteries and veins and in the rhythmic throbbing of your heart. You have been listening day and night to the voice of eternal youth. In the state of supreme realisation you will be infused with boundless knowledge.

O human beings! be established in the radiance of divinity and the splendour of valour and chivalry, because yours is the path of revolution. Yours is not the path of extra caution and hesitant movement. You are the traveller on a rugged path. You have to march ahead with head held high and with your chest forward. You have no time to stagger or to look behind.
